The Maintenance Class is Sold Out. Thanks to everyone who signed up! Join Baltimore Bicycle Works for a 6 week comprehensive course on bicycle maintenance and repair. Class will meet every Monday evening from 6pm to 8pm starting January 23rd. During the course, we will provide detailed instruction and opportunities for hands on learning. We aim to give you the confidence you need to perform regular maintenance of your bicycle, and common repairs. We encourage students to bring their own bicycle to ensure that the course material can be tailored to each student’s specific cycling needs. Read full post

Over the last decade, MTB technology has been developing and moving to market at a blistering pace. Tubeless tires, a smorgasbord of wheel sizes, thru axles, 1x drivetrains, dropper seatposts, evolved frame geometries - no aspect of the modern MTB has been untouched by the onslaught. As a consumer, it’s a lot to keep up with. Considering manufacturers are still motivated to keep putting out enticing new tech while employing strategies of planned obsolescence, knowing when to pull the trigger and which features to buy into can be a daunting task.
