We’ve got events!
Monday 7/10 at 8:00 we are watching HBO’s mocumentary, Tour de Pharmacy with popcorn provided by our friends at the Charles Theater. BYOB//BYO beanbags or lawn chairs, if possible.
Tuesday 7/11, the fine folks from Brompton are going to be in town with a fleet of demos available for a 24hr test ride as part of their #TryBromptonDemoTour. Take the bike to work, take it on the MARC train, fit it in your studio apartment, the world is your folded up oyster. We are also going to have a casual little group ride leaving from the shop at 7:30, which will probably end somewhere where we can get ice cream and coffee. Bromptons and non-Bromptons welcome. There are just a few demos available, so don’t dilly dally and sign up here so you can try out the best folding bike in the world.
It’s with a heavy heart that we are going to be closed Saturday, July 8th, to attend the funeral service of our dear friend Jeremy Pope. We will not be doing our normal Saturday morning Stoney Run ride. Jeremy exemplified the spirit of the cycling community; he was kind, passionate, and giving. He will be missed by all and never forgotten.
. We will be closed today, July 5, for a day of bereavement. Jeremy Pope was a loved member of our family, still so full of kindness and life, and there are no words to describe the hole his absence will leave in us personally, or in the shop. Jeremy’s openness, warmth, and willingness to give will forever serve as a benchmark for the rest of us to strive for. We miss you; thank you for making us better. RIP
Your muscles are tense from all the awesome rides you’ve been going on, so join us for a weekly yoga class to release that stress and strengthen your core. Yoga for cyclists starts Monday 6/5 at 6:00 PM, and will run every other Monday through 8/28 here in our newly renovated side-room. These classes are going to be beginner-friendly and taught by our friend, local yogi and bike messenger extraordinaire, Tina. Classes are BYOMat and cost $6 a pop. No experience necessary, just bring comfy clothes (and a mat).
Tina is also going to be running a donation drive for lightly used yoga mats to go formerly incarcerated individuals, so if you have a mat to spare, please consider bringing it along.
