You may not know it yet, but the cargo bike revolution is coming to Baltimore. In the last year, we have helped four people find their bliss on these extra long wheel base cargo bikes. The latest to hit the streets is our very own, ultimate cargo hauling shop bike, the Stoke Monkey electric motor-assisted Yuba Mundo.
This bike we built from the frame and have customized for our likes and needs. It features a Rock Shox suspension fork and Schwalbe Big Apple tires to eat up the Baltimore potholes, and avid BB7 disc brakes to give this big boy some good deceleration. Other upgrades of particular note include the NuVinci continually variable drive train hub and the installation of a Stoke Monkey electric assist motor. Finally we topped it all off with some of Yuba’s signature accessories, like the soft spot, go-getter bag, and stand alone double legged kickstand.
The NuVinci hub provides smooth, quiet, non-indexed shifting that pairs brilliantly with the Stoke Monkey. The Stoke Monkey motor has the power to help you get this monster bike, and its payload, up the steepest of hills with ease.
