JHU Considering Student Bike Share Program

The Johns Hopkins University Student Government Association reviewed a proposal last Tuesday night to start a bike share program for students. According to the JHU News-Letter article, the proposal outlines implementing a bike share similar to the University of Chicago’s bike-library system. Bike share programs have been implemented in college campuses across the country with much success and in Baltimore the MICA bike share continues to grow steady interest among students. We are so pleased to see the JHU SGA taking interest in expanding students access to bicycles. As Universities and student groups begin to adopt cycling as a preferred method for getting around town, it will only help to develop and grow the bike community here is Baltimore. I look forward to seeing this proposal take affect.
