Eastern Conference for Workplace Democracy Visits Baltimore, BBW
This Friday marks the start of the Eastern Conference for Workplace Democracy (ECWD) being held this year at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Baltimore Bicycle Works is very excited to have the conference so close to home and to have the opportunity to spend some time with members of other worker cooperatives, ESOP’s and collectively run organizations. The Conference attendees will share tools and solutions to strengthen workplace democracy through seminars, lectures, tours, storytelling and networking. While most of the conference takes place on the UMBC campus, several events will bring attendees to Baltimore.
On Friday, the conference kicks off with a tours of workplace democracies in Baltimore, one of which will be lead by Just Walk, will start at BBW. Friday evening, 2640 will host the ECWD for a Co-op Showcase and Community Dinner, open to the public.
