Saturday & Sunday: 11am to 5pm

We hope this brings no one too much inconvenience. We will return to our regular hours in the spring.
Trainer Sessions Start TONIGHT!

Yes, it gets dark at like 5pm now, but you don’t care because you are still going to get in the workout of your life with some help from Coach Chris Newell and Team BBC. Come by Baltimore Bicycle Works tonight at 6pm, bring your bike, your rear wheel trainer, some water, and get ready to sweat like it’s mid-August again. On that note, maybe bring a towel too!
Coach Chris is going to use these sessions to help keep you in shape all winter long. These sessions are open to all, no matter your fitness level, the great thing about trainer sessions is you can’t get left behind! Plus this is a great opportunity to learn more about how to maximize your time on the bike and how you can best build your fitness. Lessons that will greatly benefit you into the spring riding season no matter if you are racing or not.
Space is limited to 12 people per night. The fee for Coach Chris’ time is $12 per person, unless you are a Team BBC member, than it is FREE. We will be hosting these sessions all winter long, so if you can’t make it tonight, please come out next week.
More details can be found here. We look forward to seeing you soon!!
You Asked For Them and Now We Got Them…Used Bikes!!
We have been working our little fingers to the bone refurbishing used bikes and our fleet has grown. So if you are looking for a great value and don’t mind a few scratches in the paint, take a look at our used bike selection.

As usual we keep a current listing of all our used bikes on the website and they are typically parked in front of the shop, so please feel free to stop by and check them out.
Just Another Day in the Life…
Working at Baltimore Bicycle Works, some days you just never know where your day is going to take you. Sometimes it is as simple as meeting a recent transplant to Baltimore and giving them all the inside knowledge of the city or welcoming in new model year bikes. Yesterday was not particularly amazing or too far out of the ordinary, but I think serves as an excellent example of what it is like to be a member of the coop here at BBW. I thought I would share it with you all and give a glimpse inside BBW.
My morning began riding to work from Hampden where I live. At the bottom of Chestnut Ave, I ran into a frequent customer of ours who was walking (well really dragging) his bike to the shop for service. I stopped to make sure he was ok and called down to the shop to see if someone would be able to give him a lift. Not unusual, no one had driven a car that day, but we could offer one better. Josh rode the Yuba Mundo up Falls Rd to meet us and towed the bike back to the shop, pedal power.
When we arrived at BBW, I was greeted by Aaron and Alex who had arrived early that morning to begin assembly of our new bike racks. After a few hours of work (thanks Josh, Alex and Aaron for all your hard work!) the racks were completed and ready to display bikes. In that afternoon we doubled the capacity of our showroom floor and because these racks are built with greater precision that our previous home built version, they have a smaller footprint on the floor. Thus, opening up more space for other bikes or accessories.

As we get ready to celebrate our third anniversary in December, seeing these little goals met and the shop continue to evolve warms my little heart.
Keep riding Baltimore. See you soon.
