10/10/10 Global Work Party Ride
Join us October 10th at 12 pm for a 10 mile bike ride to celebrate the bicycle as a really smart, fun, realistic and easy to implement climate solution. In conjunction with 350.org, Baltimore Bicycle Works is teaming up with local organizations such as Baltimore Green Works, the Chesapeake Climate Action Network, and TreeBaltimore to sponsor the local day of action taking place in and around Druid Hill Park.
We will follow the Jones Falls Trail North from the Shop into surrounding neighborhoods, utilizing the many new bike facilities implemented in our city, returning to the Jones Falls Trail and ending in Druid Hill Park. In Druid Hill we will meet up with the other concerned citizens who will be spending the day planting trees in the Park. There will be music, food and lively discussions of what solutions we can implement today to help change our climate.
All riders, regardless of experience or speed are welcome to join. This ride is about celebrating the bicycle and those who ride them, it is not a race. Helmets and waiver signatures will be required.
